In the rough mountains of southeastern Arizona, the Clopton Cattle Company operates a beef cow-calf operation.  Black Angus and Brangus cattle, in addition to Corriente and Brahman/Hereford-cross herds, are maintained on several ranches.  This allows for optimization of the best that each breed has to offer in terms of both meat production and the ability to survive the elements - extreme heat and cold, steep rocky terrain, and aggressive predators.

While most calves are sold at auction commercially, occasionally prime black Angus beef is available by private treaty.  Steers are carefully selected and grass fed until 16-18 months of age, then grain finished for 90-120 days.  Inquire for more information.

Additionally private horse clinics, mounted law enforcement training seminars, and ranch riding excursions are offered.   Beyond the rugged yet beautiful natural terrain of the ranch, a challenging equine obstacle course exists complimented by an arena, round pens, and boarding facilities.
